Combining the warmth of the east and the efficiency of the west, Teriyaki Boy is the first fast-casual Japanese dining restaurant in the Philippines. We take pride in serving traditional home-cooked Japanese meals at fast-food speed and reasonable prices.

It opened its first branch in August, 2001 at a newly opened strip mall called Madison Square in Ortigas Avenue, Greenhills, San Juan.

The acceptance was overwhelming, with families, ‘barkadas’, businessmen and young adults becoming frequent visitors to the first branch. Colorful and hip interiors, comfortable lighting, friendly and courteous service and irresistibly tasty food are just some of the reasons why people keep coming back to the restaurant.

That was the beginning of what later became a chain of Japanese casual dining restaurants.

In late October of 2005, Teriyaki Boy merged with leading food services group, Pancake House, Group, Inc. The merger is aimed at capturing a significant market share, amplifying brand loyalty and acquiring distinct enterprise sustainability for both groups.

Teriyaki Boy’s fast expansion and strong branding has led to an Outstanding Japanese Restaurant award in 2006 alone, five in 2005 and three in 2004. In 2007, Teriyaki Boy was awarded as the Most Outstanding Filipino Retailer in the Medium Sized Food Category by the Philippine Retailers Association of the Philippines and the Department of Trade and Industry during the 2006 Outstanding Filipino Retailers & Shopping Center of the Year Awards.

Teriyaki Boy currently has 35 existing branches strategically located in Metro Manila and some provincial branches in SM Baguio, SM City Clark, SM Pampanga, Petron Marilao Station, Bulacan and Olongapo.

Teriyaki Boy has also opened its doors to franchising, rapidly expanding the number of stores nationwide. A careful and deliberate selection of franchisees is often undertaken with the end in view of mutually adding value to common business interests.
